In a horrifying incident that unfolded in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, a father and son met a tragic end as they were shot dead in their shop on a fateful Wednesday morning. The disturbing incident stems from an ongoing dispute concerning a shop in the Sardaha market, falling within the jurisdiction of the Maharajganj police station.

The victims, identified as Rashid (55 years old) and his son Shoaib (22 years old), fell victim to a brutal shooting amidst the ongoing dispute. A CCTV footage of the incident, capturing the terrifying confrontation, quickly surfaced on the internet, revealing the gruesome details of the attack. Tragically, both Rashid and Shoaib succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crime. Adding to the horror, the accused is seen attempting to set Rashid's shop ablaze, igniting bundles of clothing stored on various racks.

News of this double murder quickly spread throughout the area, prompting widespread panic. Fearing further violence, neighboring shop owners hastily shuttered their businesses.

Responding swiftly to the incident, Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya, along with officers from various police stations, rushed to the scene. The bodies of the victims have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Multiple police teams were formed, conducting raids in the area, resulting in the apprehension of two accused individuals. Dinesh Gupta, the son of Hanuman Gupta, and Nirmala Gupta, Dinesh's wife, were arrested by Maharajganj police from their residence in Gaudih Khalsa police station Sidhari Azamgarh. Additionally, authorities took decisive action to demolish the illegal encroachment by the accused, employing a bulldozer to rectify the situation.
